Sweet Little Girls

     My daughter had a sleepover this past weekend with her bestie.  When we woke up the next morning, she asked if they could have cinnamon rolls for breakfast.  Having just been to the store, I did not remember to buy the cinnamon rolls.  Big fail on my part.
     Callie wasn't deterred and asked if we could find a recipe and make homemade cinnamon rolls to surprise her friend, who was not yet awake.  How could I say no to that???
     I instantly consulted Pinterest and found zillions of recipes on the subject.  Each claiming to be the BEST cinnamon roll on the planet.  Now if you are like me, you much prefer the deliciousness of a yeast type baked good.  Yeast makes the cinnamon rolls so much better overall, BUT who feels like taking the time letting it rise (or as they say on The Great British Bake Off , prove)?  Not this girl.
     Found this recipe and saw we had all the ingredients so we got to work.  We even used a baking hack to make our own buttermilk!

These were like eating cakes for breakfast!  Her friend was surprised at her labor of love.  We had fun making them too.  Best part is that even though they didn't use yeast, they tasted like they had and weren't just cinnamon biscuits, which is what most recipes that do not use yeast end up tasting like.
