Tried It
A collection of recipes, crafts and various ideas that I have tried and an honest review of those things.

There's no need to wait for the dough to rise with this Quick and Easy No Yeast Cinnamon Rolls recipe!

Most of the time when I am looking for a recipe, I need to make it NOW.  I am not looking for hours upon hours of prep and waiting.  I LOVE the taste of baked goods with yeast (although now I eat a Keto Diet and don't eat baked goods at all) but I do not want to take the time in making them and well...the waiting.
My daughter wanted to make homemade cinnamon rolls for her friend who spent the night this past weekend and I thought it was so sweet that she wanted to do something for her friend, that I couldn't say no.  Most recipes call for yeast or if they don't, turn out like cinnamon biscuits and the texture is all wrong.  I was pleasantly surprised with this recipe and that is why it is going on the Tried It page.
No yeast.  A hack for the buttermilk required in the recipe and an overall deliciousness that I've had yet to find in a "quick" cinnamon roll recipe.  Yup I cheated!

Confetti Shortbread Bites

The little lady came home from school wanting a special snack yesterday.  I made a bunch of suggestions, but nothing sounded good to her.  We looked through Pinterest and when she saw these she was intrigued.  As she worked on her homework, I worked on these easy shortbread bites and they ended up being absolutely delicious.  Easy to make and bite sized.  You could easily customize them for any holiday you need to make treats for simply by changing the sugar sprinkles you use.  We opted for the rainbow confetti ones, but I could see Valentines Day bites, Christmas Bites and Halloween Bites without changing the actual recipe at all.  Oh and did I mention it makes about 250 bites give or take?  Make em.  Eat em.  Love em.
